  • Math Teacher - Littleton and Conifer

    Job Title: Teacher

    Date Prepared: 01/18/2024

    FLSA Status: Exempt- Non-hourly

    Work Year: Dependent on FTE. FTE 0.2 (37 Days), FTE 0.4 (72 Days), FTE 0.6 (111)

    Location: Summit South Campus

    Reports to: Principal

    Pay Range: $10,000-$14,000 a year for a Full Day of Instruction each week. Dependent on FTE

    Responsible for providing quality instruction for students. Teachers are responsible for being prepared for their classes with their materials and copies; material orders are sent off to purchasing with plenty of time to purchase; know, use and problem solve for the technology specific to their classes; be on the cutting edge of their subject area; create engaging and interactive classes for their students; provide sub plans; stay within their purchasing budget for the year; have a willingness to learn new things and be a team player.

    Training

    Bachelor’s Degree

    CDE designated hours to be highly qualified for course

    Complete required medical training for JA schools

    Suicide Prevention

    Mandatory Reporter Training

    Any other trainings as assigned by JA or the district

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    Come to class prepared each week

    Planning is part of classroom preparation. It is factored into pay but teachers are not hourly employees, they are exempt professionals.

    Different content areas require different amounts of planning

    Teachers will turn in monthly planning document to Principal

    Communicate with students via Schoology or school approved platform

    Know your content

    Give adequate time to the purchasing department to allow them to get materials for you. 2 weeks.

    Keep receipts that you want to be reimbursed for and turn in within 30 days of purchase. Reimbursement is at the principal's discretion

    Follow the grievance policy for issues.

    Go to a colleague directly if you have been offended.

    Keep student data and information private. This is also true for info about students in your classes. Speaking with colleagues is acceptable but not with other students.

    Work Hours 7:45-3:45

    Arrive at work by 7:45 each school day for a stand-up staff meeting

    Leave your classroom clean and orderly and return carts and materials to storage before leaving

    Teachers are responsible for their students in the classroom. Students will not be unnecessarily left unattended in the classroom.

    Problem solving issues with classroom resources, materials and technology.

    Make your own copies and do your own lamination

    Dress modestly and appropriately

    Do not connect with students on social media.

    Keep staff meetings and training confidential; student and school information is often shared in these meetings.

    Course catalog- Edit your courses and ratings

    Attend or arrange conferences with families.
