Homeschool Resource Library

We are so excited that we have a library available for our families!

Homeschool Resource Library (Formerly Lending Library)

  • Purpose and Use: Summit South offers a wide selection of materials for checkout as a service to SAS families, but it does not require the use of or endorse any specific curriculum for home use.

  • Request: Materials can be requested and traded out throughout the school year. You may order by following the steps below and pick up at a Summit South site with a 1-2 week turnaround time. We are always open to suggestions for curriculum to carry in our Homeschool Resources Center.

  • Cost: Most materials are checked out to you at no cost. However, consumables (books the student writes in) must be purchased by the family. Replacement fees will apply for any borrowed materials that are lost, damaged, or not returned.

Returning Materials

  • You may return or renew library materials at any time during the school year to the front desk, or as instructed at the end of the school year.

  • Returning families may renew items for use over the summer.

  • Upon student withdrawal from Summit South, library materials must be returned immediately to avoid a replacement fee.

How To Access The Library:

Our Resource Center now uses Libib Pro, and you have a patron account, so you can now reserve (place a hold on) a book online through our public library interface.

1. Access your Libib account

  • Go to our library’s Libib site. https://www.libib.com/u/sasrescource-library

  • The first time you use Libib, you will need to click Need Password? to get a temporary password emailed to you. The email address you provided when registering at Summit Academy South was the email we used as your Libib Patron Email.

2. Search for the book

  • In the search bar, enter the book’s title, author, ISBN/UPC, or use the custom barcode for the specific copy.

  • If only one result appears, Libib will automatically add it to your checkout queue. If multiple results show, choose the correct copy from the list.

3. Add the hold

  • Once the book is selected, look for the Add Hold button in the item’s details.

  • Clicking this will add the item to your hold queue, reserving it for later checkout by a library staff member.

  • You can add up to 4 items to the queue and then click Complete to finish.

4. Check availability

  • If the book is already checked out, you’ll see a warning. You can still place a hold, but the item will be reserved until it’s returned.

  • If the book is unavailable, Libib will automatically email you when it becomes available.
