Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame  Field Trip

Date: October 4th, 2024

Location: 103 Pro Rodeo Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919.  

Time: 11:00 am  (no set finish time)

Event Information: Please join us at the Pro Rodeo  Hall of Fame as we take a guided tour through their facility and will have the opportunity to practice roping on a roping dummy. Exhibits change but may include- Founders Hall recognizes individuals, firms, and foundations that contributed to the construction and research for the Hall of  Fame. Hall of Champions is the main hall where cowboys and cowgirls in each rodeo event are honored. In addition,  stock contractors, clowns, announcers, rodeo committees,  rodeo stock, and other notables of the sport are honored. Heritage Hall displays saddles, chaps, ropes,  boots, clothing, and artifacts tracing the history of rodeo,  and shows the evolution of the material over the past 100  years. The National Finals Rodeo Gallery is made possible by our sponsor Las Vegas Events. This gallery exhibits the history of the National Finals Rodeo that started in  December of 1959. Guests can view a timeline of the  National Finals Rodeo that dates historical moments in the rodeo’s history as well as contestant memorabilia.

State Capitol Tour  Field Trip

Date October 18th, 2024

Location: 200 E Colfax  Denver, CO 80203-1716 , RM 029

Time: 10:30 am-12:00 pm

Grades: 6th-12th grades (total of 60 people)

Event Information: Join us at the Denver Capitol for a guided tour. The tour will take about an hour and include a trip to the dome observation area. The dome is a 99-step climb above the 3rd floor and is accessible by stairs only.  Due to the nature of the tour, we can only accept students in grades 6-12 (no younger siblings at this time).  Depending on the size of our group on the day of the tour we may be split into 2 smaller groups.

This is still a FULL day of school and students will need to be in attendance at 8:15. Students will rotate through stations while parents meet with teachers and then attend each class starting at 10:25 and ending at 3:15. Parents conference meetings are a drop-in schedule.
